After servicing, repair and calibration, the unit receives a final Quality Control/Quality Assurance
check:
- General operations
-
The main functions of the gas analyzer's operation are checked
to ensure that they are within specification.
- Reading storage/download
-
The instrument data storage operation is fully checked, including ID entry
and data download/upload.
- Barometric pressure reading
-
The barometric pressure reading is checked to ensure it is within
specification. This is carried out
by comparing the atmospheric reading against a known standard.
- Static and differential pressure readings
-
The static and differential pressure transducers are checked by applying a
known pressure and noting both readings.
- Flow fail setting
-
The flow fail function is checked to ensure proper operation with the specified limits.
- Gas pod and Temperature probe connectivity reading
-
The connectivity of the gas analyzer is checked with all necessary accessories
to ensure correct operation and reading performance.
- Computer controlled gas check
-
Outward gas checks are carried out by way of connecting the gas
analyzer to a custom built computer controlled 'gas checking rig' and
proprietary software. During this process a range of gases are used that span the
reading range of the gas analyzer.
- Battery capacity graph display
-
The battery capacity graph setting is checked by way of monitoring the battery
voltage.
- Pump Performance
-
The performance of the gas analyzer's internal sample pump is checked to ensure flow
rate and vacuum is within specification.
The unit is not returned to the customer until it passes final inspection.
